Recruitment of Educational Assistants for the Disabled under the Special Recruitment Campaign in Primary Schools of District Education Committee/Town Education Committee Announcement Year: 2025

In accordance with the oral orders dated 13/03/2024, 02/08/2024 and 04/10/2024 filed in the High Court on WPIL 46/2023, the General Administration Department has issued circular dated 11/11/2024 regarding the recruitment of the Disabled under the Special Recruitment Campaign for the Disabled. Under which, the Education Department has given permission to conduct special recruitment of the Disabled for the posts of Primary Teachers in Government Primary Schools of the State vide letter dated 07/02/2025. Under which, the General Administration Department has issued circular dated 07/02/2025 regarding the recruitment of the Disabled. As per the resolution dated 17/09/2021 and dated 20/11/2024, under the special recruitment campaign for candidates with disabilities prescribed by the resolution of the Education Department dated 18/01/2022 and dated 14/12/2022, online applications in the prescribed format may be invited from eligible candidates with disabilities in accordance with the provisions of the educational and training qualifications prescribed by the resolution of the Education Department dated 17/03/2023 and the provisions of the selection process rules of the notification of the Education Department dated 20/01/2017.

As more disabled persons are currently employed in Disability Group - C than required, those candidates will not be able to apply now. As per the provisions of the resolution dated 20/11/2024 of the General Administration Department, this recruitment will be considered as the first recruitment occasion. If at the end of this recruitment, vacancies remain vacant in disability groups other than Disability Group - C, then they will be able to apply on the second recruitment occasion as per the provisions of the said resolution.
